As part of the Neal & Massy Group which employs approximately 9,000 people across its various regional operations, BS&T accounts for some 2500 of those employees locally - boasting of being able to attract a core of bright and dynamic individuals. Where possible and practicable, member companies encourage and facilitate employee transfers in order to prepare individuals for promotion and to increase the efficiency of the organization. At the same time, a number of vacancies are also filled externally in order to inject a steady flow of new ideas and views within the organisation.
Our policy and procedure for employment recruitment and selection across the Group is established to facilitate the organisation's commitment to equal opportunity employment and hiring the best-suited applicants available for vacant positions.
Across the BS&T Group, the employment functions are centralized in the Human Resources Department at each subsidiary, and as such, the recruitment and selection process for a member company is coordinated by the respective Human Resources agent.
Routes of Entry

Executive Applicants

These search firms conduct pre-employment interviews and reference checks and then submit a short-list of suitable candidates to the relevant company executives.
Advertised Vacancies
Advertising of vacant positions will be posted on corporate website or through the local newspapers. Applications for these vacancies must be sent to the stated address or to an email address only if so stated. However, only suitable applications will be acknowledged.
Management Trainee Programme
The BS&T Management Trainee programme, which has been in placed for a number of years, is an integral part of the Group's succession planning strategy. This programme, which is administered through the Group's Corporate Office, seeks to recruit suitably qualified young individuals who, though eminently academically proficient, require the hands-on experience and exposure to business operations. The programme is primarily open to recipients of BS&T Scholarship Awards which is administered through the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus. Limited opportunities may be available to other suitably qualified candidates, subject to organizational needs.
