However, on September 11, 1997, BS&T formed BS&T Motors through the amalgamation of three companies - Fort Royal Garage Limited, Tractors and Equipment Limited (a wholly-owned subsidiary) and Detco Motors Limited - each with between 30 and 60 years in the automobile, agricultural, and heavy duty equipment business. This merger established BS&T Motors Inc. as one of the top three players in the local automobile industry. As of September 2003, the company's name was changed to Warrens Motors Inc. following the sale of a substantial part of its shares to a private investor.
